I think Konami will still make Metal Gear Solid 5, but will probably call it Metal Gear Acid or something different. They will take a new direction with the franchise and I'm sure that will be multi platform.
The quote "Metal Gear Solid FRANCHISE and "ACROSS PLATFORMS" is very broad. It could mean a lot of things including the future of the franchise not direclty MGS4.

I thought they made a pretty big statement during the live demonstation, where snake is holding the PS3 controller and you have to move that little Otacon robot with the sixaxis.
Something is obviously stopping them from taking the game to XBOX 360, or else they would of announced it at the biggest gaming event E3. I still think the game could end up on 360 sorta like MGS2 but not till long after it makes it's splash on PS3.
The Sixaxis controllers are the gripe. The graphics look great. There's no doubt I'm picking this game up on day 1.

The Sixaxis is probably the problem for some. I think EGM is crap and just went over board. I'm waiting for some other reviews. If the game is in the 7.0's I'm buying it.
EGM are in my opinion are in favor of 360, it starts at the top with Dan Hsu. So they didn't like the sixaxis gameplay and they don't have any problem thinking glass half empty.
Like I said, EGM won't stop me from buying this game. Not even close.

I hope the average person doesn't go to the store or online and think that PS3 costs $599. Because the $499 60GB is a better deal and is still out there. Hope this doesn't mess with the sales of the 60GB.
Developers make games that require hard drive on XBOX 360 already. I knew this was gonna happen because everyone needs a hard drive. Not many people are buying a core anyway.

The core is useless, it has no hardrive, with downloading becoming a large factor with the ever improving online services and all. I actually predict the core will be discountinued.

Cause they are talking a lot of bad things about this. The game is ambitious atleast. It can be done on PS3 only and it's a totally new IP.
